About Us
Oakwood Clinical Associates exists to provide counseling that improves your life and provides lasting solutions to the problems that hold you back. We know what it’s like to feel stuck in life, because we’ve been there. Whether you’re feeling down, have a lack of motivation, are feeling worried or stressed, are having trouble sleeping, are wanting to heal from trauma, have substance use concerns, need LGBTQ+ and gender identity support, or just want someone to talk to and support you, we have someone who can guide you through.
Our experienced counselors have a unique specialty area of practice (e.g. mental health, substance abuse, LGBTQ+, chronic health conditions, and more) and are trained in a variety of approaches (e.g. CBT, HearthMath, Motivational Interviewing, and more), so that you get the support that’s exactly what you need.
We also have a unique service: Our Peer Support Specialists are professionally certified and have personal experience in recovering from mental health issues and/or substance use and, because of that, are able to walk with you through those challenges, too. Their unique experiences and training allow them to talk about what they’ve been through in order to provide you with encouragement and hope. They are also well-connected to community resources and support many pathways to wellness, recovery, and meaningful living.
