Genuineness, warmth, and empathy are three things synonymous with my therapy style. My job is to honor your story. I am here to help you make your life better. YOU identify the areas to address, and WE will work together to get you there. A favorite Japanese proverb of mine is, "Fall seven times, stand up eight." I hope to promote perseverance through difficult and challenging circumstance(s). I provide services to adults through individual, family, and group therapy.

My practice areas include: co-occurring illness (mental health and substance abuse), self-esteem, depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, communication/interpersonal skills development, and LGBT issues. In addition to my therapeutic work, I have several years of experience in providing support to individuals facing workplace/employment problems.

I have enjoyed being a member of Oakwood Clinical Associates clinical team since May 2008. Although I may serve you as your primary therapist, I have a wealth of knowledge at my disposal from my diverse and clinically talented colleagues, who inspire me daily.

Mark Mohapp LCSW, CSAC, ICS
My belief is utilizing an approach which avoids use of meaningless terms, judging, or labeling. All of us are dealing with issues of life. These may become a heavy burden on their own or we make choices worsening our situation. It may be time to talk to a professional. I find it most helpful to focus not only on the person, but also the network with whom they are connected.

By design, I have been trained, licensed, and certified in both the field of mental health and addictions. How do you separate these issues when they overlap? Why should you see two therapists because one is not trained in both?

The setting provides utilization of a strong team of clinicians with a variety of skills, strengths, and specialties allowing provision of a comprehensive approach. Since, I am able to assist through consultation or referral within the immediate clinic, a client will not have to be transferred and "start over."

Wendy Trefz MSW, LCSW, CSAC
Therapy is a collaborative relationship focused on goals and solutions. Challenges present themselves to us in life and at times restrict us in our daily functions. We will collaborate to identify and perfect your skills, creating the change you are seeking.

I have a long history working with adults, adolescents, and families in diverse settings that include in-home, schools, and corrections. This experience provides the insight to understand how our life challenges are impacted by the external settings we operate in.

I am fortunate to practice in a professional setting that maintains a high standard for consultation, professional development, and ethical practice. This environment affords me the opportunity to collaborate, problem-solve and learn from others.

Dan Willman, NCC, LMFT, SAC-IT

My approach to therapy is eclectic, but what I believe is most important is the therapeutic relationship. If you don't feel comfortable and relaxed, your healing and growth will feel more like work than a journey. I try to create an atmosphere tailored to your specific needs and desires. Whether you're seeking a guide, a teacher, or a director; I can fill that role and ensure you feel comfortable enough to ask for a change of pace. Seeking therapy can feel like an intimidating ordeal, I aim to make it a tranquil hike through nature.
I am a marriage and family therapist who is able to provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families for a variety of topics. I am skilled in helping with relationships, anxiety, trauma, substance use, mood, depression, family, self-esteem, and co-occurring mental health issues.
I am part of a group of associates who work together to provide our clients the best care we can. If you do not click with me or I believe your needs are better suited for a colleague, our staff can help you choose another therapist stress-free.
